Red Hat Training and Certifications - Road Map

Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA)

Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE)

This includes more advanced topics like security and the installation of common enterprise IP networking services. To gain it a candidate must pass the RHCSA exam, which means EX200 and additionally EX300, a 3.5hour hands on lab exam.

Red Hat recommends that you prepare courses in

  • Linux Essentials (RH124)
  • Linux Administration (RH134)
  • Linux networking and security (RH254)

Red Hat Certified Architect (RHCA)

It is the foremost complete certification in the program adding an enterprise level focus. There are concentrations inside the RHCA. To name a few

JBoss Certified Application Administrator (JBCAA)

A Certification that focuses on managing the JBoss enterprise application platform. To obtain the JBCAA certification the candidate should pass EX248, a 4hour hands on lab exam. There are no prerequisites for this exam, but RedHat recommends preparing for the exam by taking courses in JB248, a four day course in JBoss Application Administration.
